Blut Mountain, the long awaited day now over :'(
~Wow…what a weekend! I haven’t read Heidi or Janelle’s blogs yet, so if I’m repeating what you guys said…sorry :-) Jer, Jeff, Yvonne and I left on Sunday at like 2 for Nobleton church. The whole way up we tried to watch the Bourne Identity cuz Yvonne and Jeff hadn’t seen it yet…but we couldn’t hear much. After Church, Heidi and I went with Janelle and the rest back home. It was like a lot of fun, looking at scrapbooks, umm…talking, and talking, and um…oh Heidi! Yeah right. Janelle was taking a picture of us, and Heidi wasn’t behaving and broke Yvonne’s door :-D (sorry Heidi.)
~After getting like 4 hours of sleep, we headed out for blut Mountain. Arriving there at like 9 we went to grab our tickets before parking the van. We stuck to the runs around the south base lodge to keep our eyes open for Andrew and Tim. We must have checked like four times for your guys names to be checked…but at like 10:30 you guys still weren’t there…and Steven said your vehicle had like stalled and the road conditions were really bad…so you guys headed home. Man…I feel so bad for you guys! That would have been such torchure. How’d you guys survive? Or didn’t you? We missed you! Anyways, that was one day of bad wipe outs that you guys missed out on, which is good for us, I suppose…Heidi did a really bad wipeout and none of us were even there to help her! I feel so bad about that Heidi…I was like standing forever at the bottom of the hill, wondering what had happened! How are you doing btw?? That looked soooooo painful…As for me...I just did stupid wipe-outs because of the snow guns :P Visual sucked!
~The conditions were okay, in the morning I think most of us froze :P I had like no hat on and just sunglasses…and the snow guns were on ALL day long…:P my face was a sheet of ice after the first couple runs. Because of the fresh snow it was awesome! Although it was slow at first because of the warm wax, it went a lot better after a half hour or so.
~I’m sure none of us will ever forget where South Base Lodge is! Man…We walked all the way from the blue mountain inn to the lodge! I still don’t know how we did that…but we had to eat, and that’s where our stuff was. But thankfully we caught a shuttle on the way back!
Towards the end of the day we headed to the double black diamonds. That was cool! Jer found some wicked sweet trails through the glades! There was like 2 feet of powder! It was amazing, And at the end of one there was this really steep drop-off where we got some sweet air off of! And I think Yvonne only got a pic of Jer jumping, cuz the one she took of me, I had landed already. Oh well :-)
~The day definitely didn’t go as I had originally expected…missing story time and everything…yeah that was sad. We’re gonna have to hear those in March Andrew! If we don’t see you before then. And I have to apologize for posting this…you guys reading what you all missed out on :’( …sorry :D If any one...it should have been us who couldn't have come! If it weren't for you guys we wouldn't have even gone...or been able to go.
~We got to stay at Kiezebrinks on Monday night cuz the roads were too bad! That was awesome man! Jer fell asleep in ‘our’ place while we were watching a movie! So we tried to wake him up…Yvonne got him with a squirt gun thingamajig! It was hilarious, but yeah. There was no way of kicking him out, so we slept in the family room, which was a lot cooler.
~All in all it was a great weekend. It was awesome seeing all of yous again! Well…most of you I guess I should really say…It's hard to believe it's over. I can't wait till March now...that is like SOOOO far away...We'll have to get together again before then. Anyways, I'll talk to you guys later!
